Japanese Stoneware Jar with Dragon Relief

This Japanese stoneware jar has an overall reddish brick color. A dramatic full relief dragon overlays and encircles the mouth of the jar. The dragon’s body consists of a contrasting darker glaze. Furthermore, additional dragon-like features appear on the body of the jar. The jar measures 10″ high and is 9″ in diameter.
