Lavaliere Pendant with Sapphires
A wonderful piece of jewelry, the Lavalier pendant exhibits varied artistry and forms. This lovely example dates to about 1930 and appears to be a blend of influences from the Arts & Crafts and Art Deco eras. It is beautifully crafted in warm 14K yellow gold, finely detailed, and engraved throughout. Presented with clean and angular lines, the thistle motif, delicate open work, and a unique double drop. A round sapphire and two square sapphires of the pretty cornflower hue glitter from within millegrain frames. And finally, this alluring pendent displays from a 16 3/4″ 14K yellow gold chain.
