Longines Sterling Silver Military Style Wrist Watch
A rare Longines wrist watch, The Brighton, dating to the early 1900’s and WWI. Men’s wrist watches actually came into being out of necessity for military purposes during that time. Models such as this one were often referred to as trench watches.
This rare and fine example comes in a handcrafted case of sterling silver and runs on a 15 jewel Caliber 15-26 manual wind movement. The dial is unusual with a red chapter ring and numerals. Furthermore the signed enamel dial is original and features Breguet style numerals, blued steel kite hands, and seconds dial. It is also mounted with hinged wire lugs.
This very distinctive watch from Longines has been restored and comes with an 18 month warranty.
