Oil on Canvas, Sailing Scene by F. Myron Mark

A splendid depiction of sailing on active waters as painted by 20th-century American artist F. Myron Mark. Mark has done a wonderful job of capturing the essence of the scene. Very nicely executed in a naturalistic pallet that realistically captures the varied light of the sky and clouds, as well as the chop and swell of the sea. Featured in the foreground is a square-rigged sloop on approach, while various sailboats and vessels are seen under sail and motor in the background. Signed lower right. This lively marine scene is exhibited within a lovely rococo gilt frame.
