Rare Chrome Tourmaline Ring

Resting in the center if this ring is a rare 1.47 carat emerald cut chrome tourmaline, accented by 8 single cut diamonds.This vibrant stone is complemented by an expertly crafted 14K rose gold band, with engraving on either side. The stone receives its intense sharp green coloring from the mineral chromium, the same mineral that gives emeralds their green tone. Chromium tourmaline is a very special and scarce variety of the tourmaline family and is only found in one area of the world, making it one of the rarest forms of the stone. Circa 1930.
