Swiss 18K Yellow Gold Pocket Watch by Duchene Peyrot
This handsome Swiss pocket watch was produced by Duchene Peyrot & Company of Geneva. The company evolved from Louis Duchene in the 1700s, who was renowned for his movement complications and quality. This beautiful open face example dates to 1840 and is crafted of 18K yellow gold. The glass front is encased within a foliate frame, and the reverse depicts a field dog at the center in an elaborately engraved surround. The time displays on a decorative guilloche dial with seconds subsidiary and accented with foliate embellishment and rose gold.
Keeping the time within is an 8-jewel Lepine-style cylinder escapement movement that is key wound and set. Signed Duchene Peyrot & Cie, Geneva. Finally, this wonderful timepiece bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
