Swiss Atmos Perpetual Motion Clock with Chinoiserie by Jaeger-LeCoultre
Jaeger-LeCoultre first perfected and presented this avant-garde timepiece in the late 1920s, and the desire to own them is as perpetual as the movements themselves. The Atmos clock ever portrays, with elegance, the mastery of science and mechanics.
This wonderful example exhibits a reinterpretation of the traditional design and features lovely chinoiserie decorative acrylic front and side panels in a gold-plated case. Powered by an 11-jewel movement with a torsion pendulum driven by changes in atmospheric pressure as a mixture of gasses contract and expand. The time displays on a white enamel dial with sword and Arabic numeral hour markers, and sword hands.
In addition to the timeless appeal of this elegant horological masterpiece, it also bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
