Swiss Le Coultre Early 11″ Cylinder Music Box
Dating to the mid-1880s this Swiss music box made by LeCoultre has such charm in its simplicity. As an earlier model, it is a key wind box and plays 6 tunes. Its tone is very warm and delicate as a result of the high quality mechanisms and the musical comb of early music boxes. Early musical movements feature closely set teeth which allow for a complex range of notes within each tune. The box is constructed of walnut with simple line inlays and has a lovely rich patina.
